Taro was trained in Reiki Energy Healing and Seitai Therapy (Japanese Traditional Massage) in Japan. He spent 2 years at International Seitai College at Fukuoka in Japan, completing 1325 hours study, which includes 350 hours internship. After graduating, he worked at one of the busiest Massage Clinics in Fukuoka city, Temomi Dou, as a therapist for 1 year, treating over 10 clients a day. He was unsatisfied with only a physical approach to clients, and started studying Reiki Energy Healing in Japan. He immigrated to Canada in 2006 to follow his journey. Other modalities he was trained in include Thai Massage, Marma Therapy, Yoga and Reconnection Healing. He became a Reiki Master in 2008. Currently continuing to deepen training and studies in Victoria.

Taro is a Surfer, Healer, Yogi and Dream Seeker.
He believes that Life is a creation and all we see in the world is the outcome of our thought. His intention is to create a space where people come and heal, become more open hearted and loving, then bring the Bigger Love to their home to make this world much better.

He provides Holistic Healing. Treatments integrate Reiki Energy Healing and Seitai Japanese Massage.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is provided as a sacred space for all who seek to envision, deepen, commune and create. Our studio is available for your classes, workshops, retreats and concerts. We host people and events that promote awareness, joy and peace.

We are set on a peaceful 1.28 acre land surrounding by Native plants, trees and Wildlife in Finlayson Mountain’s heart. The land has a strong magic Healing Power itself. Once you step into the land, you will notice the Healing Energy radiates to you.

" This is your destination for nourishing and awakening every part of you! "

We have three caretakers who love Yoga, kirtan, nature, intentional community, and caring for the property and her visitors. Nikki Manzie, Taro Chiba, and Kimberly Loeb are practitioners of a large variety of healing modalities. Tranquility, joy and relaxed play are the essences that we seek to create and provide in this space – we look forward to having you at the Sanctuary!
